Never intended to be driven on the street or exposed to near freezen temperatures, Racetrack & Autocross Only special-use tires feature racing slick type tread designes and compounds optimized for dry traction to provide the ultimate in acceleration, cornering and braking in dry conditions.
Some tires can be run at full 6/32" tread deph in damp conditions and require shaving tread dephs to 4/32" for use on dry racetracks.
